Clemson fell well short of preseason expectations in 2025. After being the clear-cut best team in the ACC on paper, the Tigers went 7-6. Despite an underwhelming 2025, Clemson still has several premier prospects entering the 2026 NFL Draft. T.J. Parker, Peter Woods, and Avieon Terrell are all projected to be first-round picks in April. Right tackle Blake Miller has generated a ton of buzz in recent weeks and might join his teammates in the first round. Miller has been a staple of Clemson’s offensive line, starting all 54 games for the Tigers over the past four seasons. What makes Miller an intriguing prospect, and is he worth a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft?

2026 NFL Draft: Blake Miller Player Profile

Measurables

Height- 6-foot-7

Weight- 317 pounds

Background

Miller was a three-star recruit coming out of Strongsville (Ohio) and the 31st-ranked offensive tackle in the Class of 2022. He committed to Clemson and wasted no time seeing the field. Miller started all 14 games for the Tigers as a true freshman, but had some growing pains as a young player. In 994 snaps, he allowed three sacks and 25 pressures while getting called for 10 penalties in 2022. Miller progressively improved over the next three seasons. He gave up just three sacks in 2023 and 2024 combined while allowing 22 and 18 pressures, respectively. Miller put it all together as a senior, having his best season to date. In 2025, he gave up just two sacks and 14 pressures on 529 pass-blocking snaps. Miller posted an impressive 83.5 PFF grade in pass blocking as a senior.

Strengths

The first thing that stands out about Miller is his frame, measuring at 6-foot-7 and 317 pounds. It isn’t just the size with Miller, as he is also a fluid athlete. He uses his athleticism to mirror edge rushers in pass protection. Miller is also a good run defender who excels at getting to the second level of the defense. He finishes reps with tenacity, routinely putting defenders on the ground. His durability is another strength, as he started every game of his collegiate career. He’s improved as a pass blocker every season, showing development in that area of his game. Miller also picks up stunts well in pass protection.

Weaknesses

While there’s a lot to like about Miller as a prospect, there are some areas for improvement. Although his frame is good, he can play with more power in pass protection. Miller has a tendency to play with a higher pad level, allowing pass rushers to get into his chest. This leaves him vulnerable when facing bull rushes. He can also improve his hand placement as a pass blocker.

Overview

Miller has seen his stock rise as a prospect throughout the draft process. He’s a reliable right tackle who is a quality run blocker with upside in pass protection. There are still some technical improvements needed in his game, but he has the potential to be a long-term starter at right tackle. His durability gives him a higher floor, and the measurables should translate to the next level. Miller projects as either a late first-round pick or an early second-round pick. The Texans and 49ers make sense for Miller at the back end of the first round, as both teams can use a tackle.
