Boston College Extends Offer to 2026 California Wide Receiver

Standing at 5-foot-11, 170 lbs. Martinez is a speedy wideout with the ability to make defenders miss in the open field. He is quick in and out of his breaks and is a burner downfield that can provide verticality to an offense.

His speed also serves him well in special teams where he is used as both a kick and punt returner.

As a junior for Manteca in 2024, Martinez finished with nearly 900 combined rushing, receiving and returning yards while also finding the endzone 12 times. He also spent time on the defensive side of the ball as a cornerback, snagging three interceptions and earning five pass deflections.

His dynamic skill set does not stop at the football field either as the 3-Star prospect suits up for his high school's track and field team as well. In April of this year, Martinez posted an impressive 10.97 second 100 meter dash, per MileSplit.

While Boston College does already hold 27 commitments in the class, only three of those players are wide receivers, so targeting a player like Martinez makes sense for O'Brien and the staff.
