Bill O'Brien and the Eagles continued to roll on the recruiting trail on Sunday as Boston College added its fifth commitment in the last week, and 23rd overall in the 2026 class.
Bruno Werner, a 6-foot-9, 275 lb. offensive tackle from the NFL Academy in London took to social media to officially announce his commitment to the Eagles.

"After a great conversation with Coach O'Brien, I am excited to announce my commitment to Boston College. Go Eagles," he wrote in his post.
Werner was in Chestnut Hill on June 1 to attend the Boston College Mega Camp, and reported on social media that he received an offer shortly after.
With his massive frame, Werner's potential is through the roof, but he will need some refinement if he hopes to work his way onto the field. He has solid footwork and moves well for someone his size, but still has a bit to work on in terms of pad level and overall technique.
With the addition of Werner, Boston College is now up to 23 commitments in the class which is the second most in the ACC, behind only Syracuse with 24. O'Brien and the staff, if they can maintain the class until signing day, could be nearing one of the best classes in program history.
