It was a very interesting 2026 tight end recruiting cycle for head coach Marcus Freeman, offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock, and Notre Dame. With the program having developed the tight end position at such a high level historically, and having outstanding recruiters behind them, you wound have expected immediate results.
For whatever reason, the tight end class got off to a really slow start. The finish, however, has been fantastic, now holding commitments from elite tight end Ian Premer and high upside pass catcher Preston Fryzel. That is an extremely talented two-man class, and they could make it three most likely with Evan Jacobson if they chose to do so.
Now looking forward to the 2027 tight end class, it has a chance to be even better potentially. Several of the top targets have already visited South Bend this offseason. That includes Danville (Ky.) Boyle County standout Seneca Driver. He is the nephew of former Fighting Irish defensive back Tony Driver, and a player to know early on.
Saint Charles (Mo.) Francis Howell standout Jack Brown, Denver (N.C.) East Lincoln star Jaxon Dollar, Choctaw (Okla.) High School pass catcher Titus Hawk, and Korz Loken from Iola (Wisc.) Scandinavia all have camped this offseason. Notre Dame being able to see all of these talented tight ends in person, and evaluate them each, is so valuable.
That doesn’t even include Libertyville (Ill.) High School standout Brock Williams, who is considered one of the very best players in the 2027 recruiting class. Since Williams plays right in the Notre Dame backyard, he is also a player to watch. The Fighting Irish have a lot of impressive options at tight end for the 2027 class early on.
Here is every 2027 tight end recruit that currently holds an offer from Notre Dame.
