Caleb Williams: Full Review of His Stellar Performance at USC Pro Day
Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

On Wednesday, Caleb Williams impressed the football world with his performance at USC’s Pro Day.

Caleb Williams’ Pro Day was highly anticipated, as he is projected to be the number-one overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. He did not disappoint.

Caleb Williams Measurements

Caleb Williams stands just above six feet tall, with hands just under ten inches. A quarterback comparison in the NFL would be Baker Mayfield. His measurements are comparable to the $100 million man in Tampa Bay.

Caleb Williams and a possible future teammate Keenan Allen

Keenan Allen came through USC to show support for Caleb. A special bond already seems to have formed.

Keenan also got in front of Caleb’s father, Carl. It’s always good to meet the parents of your future quarterback.

General Manager Ryan Poles also met with Carl during Caleb’s workout.

Caleb Williams Throws

Caleb Williams is a high-ranked prospect because of his arm talent. He is known to make every type of throw at any throwing platform. Many draft analysts question not whether he can make spectacular throws but whether he can follow the script of a called offense. He needs to make regular throws, not just highlight reel throws.

Caleb put that on display today.

Then, the highlight reel of the day—an absolute BOMB from Caleb to Brenden Rice, with multiple angles.

After he hits the missle of a pass to Rice, he punts the ball about 35 yards on a whim—he is a multi-talented athlete.

Adam Hoge of @CHGO_Bears, counted only 4 balls hitting the ground. All of those were deep shots, and one of those was a drop.

Caleb’s Interviews/Quotes

After the Pro Day, Caleb met with multiple media members to discuss how he felt and what had happened. One of the longer interviews was with Colin Cowherd, who talked about Caleb’s desire to play for other teams a couple of months ago.

He then spoke about Keenan Allen being in attendance for the pro day.

Caleb saying all the right things about the possibility of being a Bear.

It is safe to say the Bears are impressed with Williams. Chicago had over 7 representatives there watching the performance. It is rumored that the Bears executives took Caleb and possibly his father out the night before for dinner and then celebrated with Caleb with a traditional “dap up.”

Other teams were represented well at USC’s Pro Day, but the Chicago Bears are making it known that they fully support Caleb. And why wouldn’t they? After trading Justin Fields and holding the number one overall pick, there is no need to be secret about your intentions. Caleb’s future looks likely to end up in Chicago.
