Trinidad Chambliss stole the headlines Saturday, ripping off a 385-yard scrimmage night (314 passing) as No. 13 Ole Miss edged No. 4 LSU 24–19 in Oxford.
Not only did the win move the Rebels to 5-0 on the season in front of 67,737 home fans, the fourth-largest crowd in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium history, but it also reignited the mid-season coaching gossip mill.
Lane Kiffin currently holds the third-best coaching record in Ole Miss program history at 49-18 (.731), and last season, he became the fastest in program history to reach 40 wins, now just in his sixth season with the Rebels.
With Ole Miss remaining unbeaten and likely climbing into the top 10 after the victory over LSU, fans have immediately called for him to take over in Gainesville.

"He is calling a hell of a game. The play designs the motion all look effortless, and he is dialed in," one user said during Saturday's game.
"All aboard the Lane Train ," another fan replied.
"Gotta make it happen," one other user remarked.
"Unless Ole Miss loses several games this season, why would he leave for the Gators? I hope he does, but I doubt it, especially if they make a title run," another fan rebutted.
"Lainseville ," one other user commented.
"BRING BOTH KIFFEN & CHARLIE WEISE JR TO GVILLE. BOTH THE CHEMISTRY & PLAYS COOK DEFENSES," another fan responded.
After entering the season at No. 15 in the preseason AP Top 25 Poll rankings, Florida is now unranked and 1–3 through Week 4 after losses to South Florida, No. 3 LSU and No. 4 Miami.
They've looked disjointed on offense while penalties and turnovers have compounded questions about head coach Billy Napier’s direction, reviving urgent talk about a possible change.
Talk of Kiffin to Florida heated up on Thursday when ESPN's Ryan McGee said in an interview with "Saturday Down South" that major Florida boosters were actively preparing to pursue Kiffin last year, saying privately they expected to have him in Gainesville "by the end of October" had the program moved then.
As of Sunday, Kiffin’s stock is sky-high in public opinion and boosters still remember last year’s near-miss, but many things would have to fall into place for a realistic Kiffin-Florida transfer.
It would involve a costly buyout for Florida and Napier (roughly $21.7 million), Ole Miss' willingness to part ways and Kiffin’s appetite to leave Oxford, which might be minimal given they're one of the hottest teams in the country right now.
