Cam Coleman Receives Massive Prediction From CFB Analyst Ahead of 2025 Season

Auburn Tigers receiver Cam Coleman enters his second season with the program after finishing on the team in receiving yards in 2024.

On Saturday, college analyst Michael Bratton tabbed Coleman as a "sleeper" for the Heisman in 2025. Bratton went through every SEC team and picked one player outside of quarterback as a sleeper for the prestigious award.

Coleman finished his first season with the Tigers with 598 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.

While Coleman is an exciting piece of Auburn's team, the results have not come for head coach Hugh Freeze. Freeze has yet to have a winning season with Auburn since taking the job in 2023.

Coleman was Auburn's lone five-star commit from the 2024 class. The On3 Industry Rankings listed him as the No. 2 receiver in his class and No. 4 overall prospect.

It has been a long time since an Auburn player last won the Heisman. Quarterback Cam Newton won the award in 2010, but since then, it has been slim pickings for the Tigers.

Outside of Newton, the last time an Auburn player was named a finalist for the Heisman was running back Tre Mason in 2013. Similar to the 2010 season, Auburn reached the national title game that year but lost to 2013 Heisman winner Jameis Winston and the Florida State Seminoles.

Coleman is not the only recent recruiting success for Auburn. The Tigers are also in the running for prospects like Nolan Wilson and Jireh Edwards

Freeze begins his third year with Auburn on August 30, as the team takes on the Baylor Bears.
