Alabama football’s quarterback, Ty Simpson has been mocked as a first-round pick for the 2026 NFL Draft by CBS Sports draft analyst, Ryan Wilson.

Wilson has Simpson slotted as the third quarterback and taken as the 24th overall pick. He has the Los Angeles Rams taking the rising quarterback prospect.

The redshirt junior prospect has completed 70.3 percent of his passes, while throwing for 1,478 yards and 13 touchdowns through five games under center for Alabama.

As his popularity grows, Simpson has been clear in stating where his focus lies as he continues to lead Alabama football and block out outside noise.

“I’m just really trying to win, to be honest with you,” Simpson said to reporters on Tuesday. “As much as I wanted to forget the first game, like it’s gone, but it’s never forgotten. We talk about all the time, like having a chip on our shoulder, like all that is external to me. I just want to go 1-0 and win, whatever it takes to win and get my guys to celebrate in the locker room for that three or five minutes is all that matters to me.”

With his continued growth and consistent play, Simpson will have his chance to turn these projections into a reality in the coming months.
