Cincinnati Lands Commitment From UTEP Wide Receiver
USA TODAY Sports

Cincinnati football added an offensive talent on Tuesday in former UTEP wide receiver Tyrin Smith with two years of eligibility remaining.

He joins Tony Johnson as transfer wide receivers to join UC this cycle. The 5-foot-7 speedster posted 19 catches for 191 yards and one touchdown in four games last season. In his first two campaigns at UTEP, Smith tallied 104 receptions for 1,609 yards and 11 touchdowns.

He originally transferred from UTEP to Texas A&M last year but eventually went back to UTEP.

The 170-pound wide receiver has 65.9 PFF grades or better all three years at UTEP and should be a versatile slot option with the ability to play outside a bit. Cincinnati's transfer haul is currently ranked 31st nationally on 247Sports.
