Saturday's game between Cincinnati and TCU was delayed for about 90 minutes in the first quarter due to severe weather.

There was lightning in the Fort Worth area, causing a weather delay. At the time of the stoppage, TCU was up 7-0 thanks to a touchdown pass from quarterback Josh Hoover. He had completed three of four passes for 23 yards.

Both TCU and Cincinnati enter this game with identical 7-4 records seeking their eighth win of the year. TCU is coming off a 17-14 win over Houston last week, while Cincinnati lost 26-14 to BYU.

Both teams have been eliminated from Big 12 title contention as BYU and Texas Tech will play for the conference title next weekend. But TCU and Cincinnati will still play in a bowl game once those matchups are determined.

Cincinnati opened the season with a 20-17 loss to Nebraska before rattling off seven straight wins. The team was 7-1 through eight games, but has lost three in a row heading into this week.

TCU was 6-2 through its first eight games but lost two in a row before winning last week.

The teams retook the field after the delay and warmed up for 15 minutes before the game resumed with 7:58 remaining in the first quarter. TCU made it a 14-0 game, thanks to a second touchdown pass from Hoover.

After that, Cincinnati made it a 14-7 game thanks to a touchdown from running back Evan Pryor.

You can watch the rest of the game on Fox.
