Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, known as Coach Prime, has been dealing with health problems recently which have forced him to step away from Boulder.
Sanders, 57, has been recovering at his estate in Texas with his friends and family. Furthermore, he shared a motivational message on Instagram to show his belief in fighting back to overcome your issues.
“You’ve got to roll up your sleeves and fight,” Coach Prime’s post reads. “This ain’t no ordinary attack, this is a real sophisticated, highly educated attack. This enemy knows u and knows your weaknesses.”
“You will claim victory if you don’t quit, give up, or give in. You got God, baby.”
Some of his supporters, including his mother, reacted to the message in an uplifting and inspiring manner. “AMEN ,” Connie Knight shared.
Knight showing her love for Coach Prime is not surprising, as they have a close relationship. Furthermore, at the age of seven, Sanders promised her she would “never have to work again” once he became a professional athlete.
Ultimately, when Coach Prime was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons in 1989, he used his fame and wealth to help his mother retire from working.
“My mother has not worked since 1989 when I signed the dotted line for the Atlanta Falcons,” Sanders said during an interview with Essentially Sports.
“And she would never ever work another day because that was my rabbit in this steel,” he added.
Coach Prime also loves paying tribute to his mother. He released a special Mother's Day edition of his Nike Air Diamond Turf Max 96 sneakers called the “Love Letter to Connie.”
Sanders could be able to make a full recovery from his health problems if he has his mother’s love and compassion by his side.
