The 2026 recruiting cycle has concluded after the final National Signing Day occurred on Wednesday. With teams' classes finalized, Rivals examined some of the top prospects at each position.

Rivals started with the quarterbacks as the 2026 class showcases a strong group of players who have been evaluated extensively over the past few years. Those players have been closely monitored during Friday night games and have also undergone in-person assessments at camps and 7-on-7 events.

Rivals' Charles Power awarded superlatives to various quarterbacks. Vanderbilt's Jared Curtis was recognized for having the "strongest arm," while Houston's Keisean Henderson earned the title for the "best senior season." Meanwhile, Faizon Brandon received the distinction of having the "most upside."

"Faizon Brandon touts one of the most complete physical skill sets of any quarterback in the 2026 cycle," Power wrote. "The 6-foot-3.5, 200-pound Greensboro (N.C.) Grimsley standout combines a projectable frame, strong arm, and plus athleticism that give him notable long-term upside. He generates quality velocity on his passes and shows the ability to distribute accurate passes from the pocket or on the move. Brandon’s combination of size, coordination, and confidence allows him to play with balance and control, and he’s a capable runner who adds a dual-threat element to his game."

The quarterback superlatives highlight just how deep and diverse the 2026 class is, with programs across the country landing passers who fit very different offensive identities. For teams like Tennessee, which values quarterback mobility and vertical passing under head coach Josh Heupel, the emphasis on upside and physical traits reflects how the position continues to evolve at the college level.

The ripple effect of these evaluations goes beyond individual accolades. Early labels like “most upside” or “strongest arm” often shape fan expectations, influence early depth chart conversations, and can even impact NIL value before players take a meaningful college snap. Analysts have consistently pointed out that quarterbacks with Brandon’s blend of size and athleticism tend to gain momentum quickly once they enter structured college systems.

Looking ahead, the focus now shifts from projections to development. As these quarterbacks arrive on campus for spring practices and summer workouts, their ability to adapt to speed, scheme, and competition will ultimately determine who emerges as the face of the 2026 class over the next few seasons.
