Colorado's football program has been under a block of ice for two decades but Sanders has quickly unthawed it. Check out the stunning difference between the past two spring games for confirmation.

An unseasonably cold, 30-degree day greeted the thousands of fans who packed into Folsom Field to get the first glimpse of what "Prime Time" will look like in Boulder. If Saturday is any indication, expect a much-improved offense, spotty special teams, and cowboy hats.

Before the program's spring game, workers had to clear the field of a thick layer of snow. Once the team took the field, Sanders kept warm on the sideline with some sweet dance moves.
His son, transfer quarterback Shedeur Sanders, and wide receivers Travis Hunter and Montana Lemonius-Craig kept the field up to temp with highlight plays.

Not many programs coming off a 1-11 season would garner the hype Colorado's spring game, which ESPN televised and was attended by 44,277 fans, received. But that's what hiring a star head coach like Sanders can do for a program.
He attracts eyes, clicks and — more importantly — college prospects. Per On3, Colorado benefitted the most from the transfer portal out of any school this offseason.
The team also had the 33rd-ranked recruiting class this year and is currently 23rd for 2024 after failing to secure a top-50 recruiting class in 2021 and 2022.
Sanders is getting the Buffaloes hot, with brighter days on the immediate horizon. If there’s any doubt, ask Sanders himself, who provided a weather report for the area on Sunday.
"It's gonna be 50 and sunny tomorrow."
