Colorado head coach Deion Sanders said that the Buffaloes’ 53-7 loss to the Utah Utes on Saturday was the worst loss of his coaching career. When describing the blowout defeat, he compared it to when he was disciplined as a child.
“This is bad. This is probably the worst beating I’ve ever had except when my momma whooped me as a kid,” Sanders said.

Colorado’s defense gave up 422 rushing yards to Utah while struggling to get into an offensive rhythm.
“Sometimes you just are dumbfounded, man,” Sanders said. “You just look at this day and say, ‘Wow, what happened?’ There’s no way.”
Sanders now has a 16-17 record as the head coach for Colorado and they must win three of their final four matchups to qualify for a bowl game.
