Colorado Reportedly Dealt Major Loss on Wednesday

The Colorado Buffaloes offense will look completely different in 2025 with quarterback Shedeur Sanders and his top four receivers off to the NFL.

While head coach Deion Sanders addressed both of those positions in the transfer portal, the roster took a hit on Wednesday at a position that the Buffs appeared to have thought they were all set at.

According to a report by DNVR's Scott Procter, running back Isiaha Augustave is no longer with the Buffs after just one year with the program.

"RB Isaiah Augustave — who led Colorado in rushing last season — is no longer with the program," wrote Procter.

Augustave joined the program prior to last season after spending his first season of college football with the Arkansas Razorbacks. While Colorado's rushing attack was far from prolific, ranking as the worst in the country in rush offense, Augustave was the team's leading rusher on the year.

He finished his lone season in Boulder with 384 yards rushing with four touchdowns, while also adding 11 catches for 62 yards. His departure from the program comes about a little over a week before Colorado's spring game is scheduled, and a week before the spring transfer portal window opens.

As a recruit out of Naples, Florida, Augustave chose Arkansas over programs like Tennessee, Florida State, Kentucky and Indiana.

Without Augustave, it seems likely that Sanders and new running backs coach Marshall Faulk will turn to the transfer portal to add more depth to a room that was already thin on talent as it was.
