Deion Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes (2-4) team are still attempting to find their footing after they suffered their fourth loss of the year on Saturday. The Buffs went into Fort Worth, where the Coach Prime era began with a bang in 2023, looking for a much-needed win against the TCU Horned Frogs (4-1).

Instead, his team ended up blowing a 14-0 lead for the second straight week as quarterback Kaidon Salter tossed three picks in what was his sloppiest game of the season.

Although the loss stings, Sanders may have concerns greater than football on his mind.

While Sanders was understandably disappointed after the game, he admitted something that has fans around the country worried for his well-being. The Pro Football Hall of Fame corner, who beat bladder cancer in the offseason, while also undergoing his 14th surgery since 2021, admitted he senses that he has more blood clots.

After being shown multiple times throughout the game, sitting on a stool or with his shoes off, Sanders provided a concerning update when speaking to the media.

“I think I got more blood clots,” Sanders said. “Cat’s out of the bag, all right? I think I got more blood clots. It don’t make sense. I’m hurting like crazy."

Sanders' concerns are so severe that he actually revealed he will be seeing a doctor on Monday.

During his time at Jackson State in 2021, Sanders had two toes amputated and parts of his left calf removed as a result of blood clots. This instance led to him being hospitalized for nearly a month. Sanders also had blood clots removed from his thigh and knee before his first season in Boulder.

After going 9-4 last season, Sanders inked a five-year $54 million extension with Colorado.

While Sanders made it a point to get back to coaching after taking time away from the team as he dealt with cancer, it does cause one to wonder if his coaching career is in jeopardy.
