After cancelling his official visit to Notre Dame last weekend, 2026 Buford (Ga.) High School pass rusher Dre Quinn is narrowing things down, and very quickly. He has decided to make his commitment this Thursday, June 19th. Quinn will be selecting between the Clemson Tigers and Texas Longhorns.

From a recruiting rankings perspective, the opinions all over the place on Quinn. He is only rated as a three-star recruit by 247Sports currently, coming in as the No. 34 EDGE in the country. Quinn is, however, considered a four-star recruit on both the 247Sports Composite and On3 Industry rankings, coming in as the No. 263 and No. 274 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class respectively.
If you aren’t impressed by Quinn’s rankings, you will be by his offer list. Some of the top programs that are pursuing the talented defensive end include the Fighting Irish, Georgia, Ohio State, Texas, Alabama, Michigan, Oklahoma, LSU, Miami, Tennessee, USC, Auburn, Florida State, Clemson, and Nebraska among many, many others.
From a production perspective, Quinn has not quite been able to take that massive step yet. As a junior for Greater Atlanta Christian, the 6-4, 230-pound defense was able to record 42 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks. Quinn also forced a fumble, recovered another, and hauled in seven receptions for 129 yards as a part-time player on offense.
Heading into that decision, Clemson is viewed as the leader for Quinn and barring something last minute, that feels where the decision is going. The Tigers have a rich history of developing talented defensive lineman under head coach Dabo Swinney. That includes on the 2025 roster with potential All-Americans Peter Woods, TJ Parker, and Purdue transfer Will Heldt.
