Oregon currently holds the top ranking in the country in the 2026 recruiting class. Much like in 2025, Oregon is chasing the top talent in the country, being rumored to be in the mix for a large number of four-and-five star recruits.

They're currently in the mix for the No. 1 offensive tackle and No. 1 overall recruit Jackson Cantwell. Right behind Cantwell in the overall ranking on On3 is offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho, and as of now, there's reason for Ducks fans to be optimistic.

Oregon has had to rely on the transfer portal in recent years to get their offensive line right, and while it's been very successful, it's not the must sustainable approach.

Dan Lanning and the crew are clearly out to change that approach. They already have a verbal commitment from elite offensive lineman Kodi Greene, and now that they're firmly in the mix for the top two offensive linemen in the country, it's apparent that the Ducks are wanting to build their trenches through recruiting. Landing one of Cantwell and Iheanacho would be fantastic. But the possibility exists that they snag both, creating an elite pair of bookends that could be consistent pillars for the Ducks offensive line for the next three plus years.

Obviously, the best prospects are hard to land. Even if the Ducks get verbal commitments from either or both of these offensive linemen, it will be a battle to hold on all the way up to the early signing period next December.

Lanning is clearly making an elite offensive line a huge priority for their recruiting going forward. Monitoring these two prospects will be crucial to the potential top end of Oregon's 2026 recruiting class.
