The Oregon Ducks are gearing up for an exciting 2025 season, where ESPN BET gives them the second-best odds (+260) of winning the Big Ten and tied for the fourth-best odds (+750) to win the national championship.
However, for as much success as they may see in the field, Oregon, led by head coach Dan Lanning, continues to be one of the best teams when it comes to enticing highly talented recruits.
As of now, they've put together an impressive 2026 recruiting class, which already has eight total commitments and ranks No. 3 in the Big Ten and No. 5 in the nation, per On3.
They soon may be making a huge addition as well, with Steve Wiltfong on On3 reporting that Oregon and Lanning are among the favorites to eventually land five-star safety Jett Washington

This would, of course, be huge for Oregon, as On3 Industry Rankings place Washington as a five-star recruit, the No. 3 safety, the No. 1 player in Nevada and the No. 26 player in the nation.
Lanning is battling with several college football juggernauts, though, as the safety also has offers from schools such as Alabama, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Michigan, Notre Dame and Georgia.
Last season, for Bishop Gorman High School, Washington put up impressive numbers, appearing in nine games, accumulating 38 tackles, two pass deflections, five interceptions and one fumble recovery.
If he does end up with Oregon, he would be joining another big name in their 2026 recruiting class, such as five-star tight end Kendre Harrison, five-star EDGE Richard Wesley and four-star running back Tradarian Ball.
