Multiple college football programs recently decided to part ways with their head football coach.

Alabama football’s head coach Kalen DeBoer is off the hot seat at the moment after leading the Crimson Tide to five straight wins. He has the Crimson Tide squarely back in the playoff picture with an opportunity to compete in the SEC Championship game.

However, for some other coaches, they have not been as lucky as DeBoer. The Alabama head coach was asked Wednesday about the landscape of coaching after these firings.

“Just feel bad for the coaches that I know are really good coaches, the players and the staffs that are in those programs, still have half a season to work through intense situations and just feel bad for everyone involved in those programs,” DeBoer said.

Penn State recently fired James Franklin, UAB parted ways with Trent Dilfer and Oklahoma State fired Mike Gundy. These are just a few of the recent firings in college football.
