Kalen DeBoer provided an update on the timeline for when Alabama wide receiver Noah Rogers is expected to return to the field on “McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning.”
Rogers went down with a lower-body injury during the Crimson Tide’s spring game. The Alabama head coach told Ryan Fowler on Tide 100.9 Rogers’ injury was significant earlier this month.
“Unfortunately, he suffered an injury that’s gonna take a little while to recover, and it will bleed into the season here a little bit,” DeBoer said. “I’m not gonna give a timeline exactly, but he won’t be ready to go right when the season starts.”
DeBoer provided another update on Rogers on Wednesday.
“At some point, hopefully later in the year will be able to get back,” DeBoer said. “He was having a great spring for us.”
Rogers played two seasons at North Carolina State. He caught 68 passes for 919 yards and three touchdown during his time as a member of the Wolfpack. DeBoer praised Rogers for his ability to make plays during the spring.
“Noah’s been consistent,” DeBoer said. “He had a couple of nice catches, some big plays. Thought he was there when he needed to. Even just sometimes short ones where you got to move the chains. Maybe it’s not just a complete natural catch. He’d probably be the one that stood out the most.”
