The Colorado Buffaloes are coming off a tough loss to the BYU Cougars in the Alamo Bowl, which also marked the conclusion of the collegiate careers for both Shedeur Sanders and his brother Shilo Sanders. Both are expected to enter the 2025 NFL Draft in April.

While there is still some uncertainty about where Shilo might be selected, Shedeur is widely projected to go within the top five, likely to a quarterback-needy team.

Prior to Sunday's game, many had speculated that he could land with the New York Giants, but their Week 17 win has now pushed them back a few spots in the draft order.

With the draft talk heating up, speculation about Shedeur’s potential landing spots has circulated, including rumors about his preferences for where he might play in the NFL. These reports have caught the attention of his father, Deion Sanders, who swiftly addressed the rumors, labeling them as not true.

"It will be multiple [explicit] that will say things that totally aren’t true regarding where I would like @ShedeurSanders & @ShiloSanders to play in the @nfl. If I say it I will say it directly to whom it may concern not an attention seeker. I do know @nflcommish personally! drop [mic]" Sanders posted on Monday. "They’ve already started the lying and positioning but they forgot I got TIME TODAY."

Deion Sanders has been vocal about wanting his children to land in a situation where they can succeed, but this has led to numerous reports speculating about where Shedeur and even Shilo might want to end up in the NFL Draft. However, Deion has repeatedly emphasized that they haven’t ruled out any team or situation that shows interest.

For Shedeur Sanders, the reality is that only a handful of teams are likely to have the opportunity to draft him. These teams include the New York Giants, Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders, and potentially the Cleveland Browns.

The odds of him falling behind any of these teams are slim to none. As of now, the New England Patriots hold the No. 1 overall pick, but with their franchise quarterback already in place in Drake Maye, the draft day scenario for Deion’s sons will certainly be one to watch in April.
