Deion Sanders is making sure his Colorado Buffaloes stay as disciplined off the field as they are on it. Ahead of the new academic year, the head coach laid down clear rules for how his players must present themselves in class.
Speaking to his team on Wednesday, just before the classes start on Thursday, Sanders left no room for confusion. “No slides,” he warned. “If I see you with them, I'm gonna send people to campus if I see you with slides on campus, it's gonna be a problem.”
Sanders’ message didn’t stop there. He stressed the importance of professionalism inside the classroom. “If I see you with a hoodie on in class, or some headphones on in class, it's gonna be a problem. If I see you sitting in the back of the classroom, it's gonna be a problem. Do we understand that?” he asked and met with a unified “Yes sir” from the players.

For online classes, Sanders’ expectations were just as strict. “If you don’t have a shirt on… or you have something stupid on that causes a distraction… or you walk around during that online session, it's gonna be a problem.”
With less than two weeks until Colorado faces Georgia Tech on August 29, head coach Deion Sanders still hasn’t named his starting quarterback. The Buffaloes are caught between Liberty transfer Kaidon Salter’s experience and freshman Julian “JuJu” Lewis’ raw talent.
While Sanders has kept his cards close, players are leaning toward Lewis. Wide receiver Hykeem Williams was direct: “I know for sure JuJu. He’s that.” Sincere Brown also praised Lewis’ “pure God-given arm.”
After losing Shedeur Sanders and four top receivers to the NFL, Colorado’s offense is in transition. For Coach Prime, the choice between maturity and natural talent is crucial, and Lewis’ locker room backing could give him the edge as the season opener looms.
