Former Colorado Buffaloes wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. is expected to make his NFL debut this season with the Carolina Panthers after being selected with the 208th overall pick in the sixth round of April's draft.

Horn, 22, recorded 441 receiving yards and a touchdown during his senior season under head coach Deion Sanders. Even though Horn missed three games with a lower-body injury, he developed his maturity and professionalism with help from Coach Prime.

Deion Sanders acted as a father figure for Horn by giving him emotional and spiritual support throughout his time in Boulder. He also participated in Horn’s senior day since no one else from his family was present.

Furthermore, Horn has a strong connection with the Sanders family, including social media creator and entertainer Deion Sanders Jr. The tandem collaborated on a song called “Trippin Pt 2,” which was released in December 2024.

The track reached 78,442 views and 1.9 thousand likes on YouTube. On Tuesday, Deion Sanders Jr continued to show his appreciation and support for Horn through a post on his Instagram Story. “I believe in you man,” Deion Sanders Jr wrote.

His post came as Horn is preparing to play his first season in the NFL with the Panthers. As a very fast and versatile rookie receiver, he is expected to contribute a fair amount to a developing young roster.

Horn is also expected to develop as training camp continues and the season comes around, with mentoring and guidance from veteran wide receivers Adam Thielen and Hunter Renfrow.
