Questions surrounding Deion Sanders' health have been circulating for some time now and it sounds like the NFL legend is going to answer some of them tomorrow.
According to reports, the Colorado HC is expected to hold his first press conference of fall camp on Monday alongside his medical team where Coach Prime will "provide general and team updates."
Deion has been limited in his participation over the spring and summer due to an unspecified health issue that forced him to take some time away. However at Big 12 Media Days earlier this month, the Hall of Fame DB told reporters that he's already back to getting to work on the upcoming season.
"I'm already back," Sanders said. "I'm here today. I'm handling my responsibilities. So, I look forward to it. I can't wait. You've got to understand, some of the young [players] I haven't even met yet. I'm so excited about that."
Just last week though Deion was overheard saying, "You know I'm still going through something. ... I ain't all the way recovered," in a video posted by one of his sons.
In 2021, Sanders had to have two toes amputated due to complications from blood clots in his left foot. And since then he's had other procedures to try to improve his circulation.
Hopefully whatever Coach Prime is dealing with isn't as serious or life-threatening as what he's been through in the past. We certainly wish him the best and look forward to seeing him back on the sideline in Boulder soon.
