Colorado head coach Deion Sanders made headlines on Thursday, but for different reasons than you would expect.
The Buffaloes are 2-2 through four games, but recovered from their 36-20 loss to Houston by beating Wyoming 37-20 in Week 4.
The team is gearing up for its second Big 12 game of the year, this time against No. 25 BYU.
However, Deion Sanders Jr. had some beef with EA Sports that he had to settle first. Sanders was playing EA Sports College Football 26 and voiced his concern in a now-deleted post on X about a bug in the game.
He had been playing online and could not pick a play, which eventually resulted in him being kicked from the game and taking a loss.
"Bro, y'all gotta fix it to where y'all won't let a person pick their play," Sanders said. "Now they get kicked from the game and get an L because y'all won't let me pick a play."
EA Sports College Football 26 is the second game the publisher has produced since reviving the series ahead of last season.
Before the summer of 2024, EA Sports' last college football video game was NCAA Football 14, released in 2013, which featured former Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson on the cover.
Sanders is the second-oldest child of the Colorado head coach, at 31 years old. While he has not played college football in nearly a decade, he still contributed at the Division I Level.
He played receiver at SMU from 2013-15, accounting for 233 receiving yards. Sanders also shone as a return specialist, recording 1,501 return yards in three seasons.
Coach Prime has had some frustrations of his own this season, especially at quarterback. The quarterback room in Boulder contains former four-star recruit Julian Lewis, Ryan Staub and Liberty transfer Kaidon Salter.
Staub and Salter have seen the most minutes of the three, but neither has been able to win the job until recently. Salter began the year as the starter, throwing for 261 passing yards and one touchdown before Staub took over in Week 3.
Staub started the Houston game and struggled, throwing for 204 passing yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
Sanders put Salter in for Week 4, and the quarterback did not disappoint. He finished with 304 passing yards and three touchdowns, and is now expected to start under center for Colorado again on Saturday.
Colorado and BYU kick off at 10:15 p.m. ET on ESPN.
