Quarterback Diego Pavia has led the Vanderbilt Commodores to an undefeated record through the first five weeks of the 2025 college football season.
Vanderbilt is ranked No. 16 in the latest AP top 25 Poll but their biggest test of the season is approaching on Saturday. The Commodores will travel to Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa to face No. 10 Alabama in Week 6.
The last time these two teams met, Vanderbilt pulled off one of the biggest upsets in college football history. Pavia led the Commodores to a 40-35 win over the then-ranked No. 1 Crimson Tide.
The sixth-year senior is now enjoying the rewards off the field due to his recent success. On Monday, Pavia announced an NIL partnership with AutoPro in Nashville. The Instagram post features Pavia posing in front of an Audi.
Pavia signed with an NIL representation company, AthleteZ PR, to manage his personal brand for his final year at Vanderbilt.
While it will be tough to pull off another upset of that degree, the Vanderbilt-Alabama game has enough hype to be chosen as the location of ESPN's College GameDay on Saturday. It came as a surprise to many as No. 3 Miami travels to No. 18 Florida State on the same day.
Alabama-Vanderbilt is set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
