UC football defensive tackle Dontay Corleone gave an impassioned final stamp to his press conference this week. The Bearcats are 2-4 and under .500 for the first time during Corleone's time with the team.
"The Godfather" hopes fans keep showing out at Nippert Stadium, despite the lack of results.
"Cincinnati fans I know you wasn't expecting this this year, as far as our record," Corleone said to close his time on the microphone. "I just want y'all to stay with us. We gonna have adversity but we need everyone in that stadium packed out. Just need y'all to show up. Thank you, go Bearcats."
Corleone's played very well for a second straight year. He hasn't hit the same consistent dominance in the Big 12 but still has 22 tackles and two sacks to pair with a 78.2 PFF Grade (fourth on the team).
"Once we figure that out, I feel like we're gonna be a tough football team to play," Corleone said about the team not overcoming adversity.
Cincinnati has a chance to keep chugging towards bowl eligibility if they win as betting favorites against Baylor.
