A draft guru believes Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze's skill set resembles one of the best players in the NFL.
"[Odunze] is doing it. I'll tell you week after week, he's been spectacular for the Washington Huskies," longtime draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. recently said , per ESPN.com. "Rome Odunze is special. He reminds me a little bit of [Cincinnati Bengals wideout] Ja'Marr Chase."

Chase has flourished in three seasons with the Bengals. The former first-round pick out of LSU won 2021 Offensive Rookie of the Year, earned two Pro Bowl nods and is tied for the most receiving TDs (28) in the league since 2021.
Odunze (6-foot-3, 215 pounds) is bigger than Chase (6-foot, 201 pounds). However, the Bengals star had a better college career and thrived against tougher competition in the SEC.
Chase won a national championship in 2019 and recorded 107 receptions for 2,093 yards and 23 TDs in 24 games with LSU. Odunze, meanwhile, has logged 188 receptions for 2,838 yards and 22 TDs in 36 games with Washington.
The 21-year-old is a great prospect. Kiper recently rated him as his second-best WR behind Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr. The 33rdTeam's Connor Livesay predicted the New York Jets would take him with the 11th overall pick.
"The New York Jets have a ton of bodies at WR, but Garrett Wilson is the only one who is a threat to opposing defenses," wrote Livesay. "Adding Odunze would give the Jets one of the best young NFL receiving rooms."
It appears Odunze is garnering more attention. Don't be surprised if the Huskies star is one of the first WRs selected in the draft in April.
