Class of 2026 four-star safety Chance Collins is headed to the SEC after announcing his commitment on Wednesday.
Collins plays for Mansfield Timberview High School in Arlington, Texas, where he ranks as the No. 21 safety and the No. 43 player in the state, per Rivals.
As a junior in 2024, Collins posted 20 tackles (2 for loss) with six interceptions and eight pass breakups. Offensively, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound athlete also posted 16 catches for 310 yards (19.4-yard average) with two touchdowns at wide receiver.
Collins is also a standout on the track and field team and posted a career-best 10.76 100-meter dash in the spring.
Multiple Power Four college football programs were pushing for a commitment from Collins over the last few months, including Oklahoma State, Utah, West Virginia, Texas Tech and Texas A&M.
The Cowboys were the first program to get Collins on an official visit on April 4, before the Aggies got involved and extended a scholarship offer.
Collins went on to take an official to Utah (May 30) before announcing his pledge to Texas A&M via On3's Hayes Fawcett on Wednesday.
“What’s up AggieLand I’m home," he said. "Gig’Em”

Texas A&M and head coach Mike Elko are slated to officially host Collins as a part of a key recruiting weekend on June 20.
The Aggies, which finished at 8-5 in Elko's first season of 2024, signed the nation's No. 7 class in the 2025 cycle.
And a push is being made for another top class, as Collins' commitment moved Texas A&M up one spot to No. 6 in the class of 2026 recruiting rankings.
