Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has made many headlines this football season regarding the cheating scandal and rumors of becoming an NFL head coach next year. Regarding the NFL coaching rumors, many have linked Harbaugh to teams like the Los Angeles Chargers and the Las Vegas Raiders. However, an ESPN analyst says that one team now stands out more than the rest 11 weeks through the 2023 NFL season.

ESPN’s Analysis

According to ESPN’s Mike Greenberg, Harbaugh will leave Michigan after this season to coach the Chicago Bears. Greenberg says that the Bears should be “begging” Harbaugh to be their new head coach next season. He also says that there is a real chance that this could happen, which would be insane considering Chicago’s history of hiring head coaches who are not experienced.

Harbaugh has been in a lot of controversy in the college football world as the investigation by the NCAA continues regarding the alleged scouting scheme in the program. The head coach is currently serving a three-game suspension that was given to him by the Big Ten and is still being investigated for the potential cheating scandal.

Jim Harbaugh’s NFL Career

Harbaugh has had experience with being a head coach in the NFL, and he was able to have success while doing so. He coached the San Francisco 49ers and even brought them to a Super Bowl, which they lost to the Baltimore Ravens who are coached by his brother, John Harbaugh. Jim was able to amount to a 59-36-1 record as a coach in the NFL, and many think that he can have the same success if he comes back to the league.

For now, these are just rumors and speculation, and nothing is set in stone just yet. However, Harbaugh is the most likely candidate to become an NFL head coach next season out of former coaches in the league, and he has already been linked to multiple franchises. We will see how the rest of the season goes for these NFL teams and for Harbaugh, which will lead to these rumors heating up even more.
