ESPN dropped its first full seven-round mock of the 2025 NFL Draft season, and the results are interesting for Ohio State faithful. While my own seven-round mock featured 15 Buckeyes selected, Matt Miller also hit that mark in his projections.

Ohio State produced 15 draft picks in his mock draft, falling one shy of breaking Georgia's 2022 record of 15 players drafted in a single class. My mock also had the Buckeyes tying their record, so it's not as if Miller is off base.

Here are where Miller projected the 15 Buckeyes and some thoughts overall.

ESPN NFL Draft projections for Ohio State Buckeyes

25. Houston Texans: Josh Simmons, OT

34. New York Giants: Emeka Egbuka, WR

37. Las Vegas Raiders: TreVeyon Henderson, RB

42. New York Jets: Tyleik Williams, DT

45. Indianapolis Colts: Donovan Jackson, G

51. Denver Broncos: Quinshon Judkins, RB

84. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jack Sawyer, Edge

93. New Orleans Saints: JT Tuimoloau, Edge

106. New England Patriots: Lathan Ransom, S

114. Carolina Panthers (via DAL): Denzel Burke, CB

143. Las Vegas Raiders: Will Howard, QB

158. Los Angeles Chargers: Ty Hamilton, DT

160. San Francisco 49ers (via MIN): Cody Simon, LB

220. New England Patriots: Jordan Hancock, CB

238. New England Patriots (via LAC): Seth McLaughlin, C

The Buckeyes wait quite a while before their first representative comes off the board, but that's more likely than not. For as talented as this Ohio State roster was in 2024, they were deep and not as reliant on one draft-eligible super star as some recent teams.

Sure, there was Caleb Downs and Jeremiah Smith, but the Buckeyes were more than those two impact playmakers. We see that quickly as the Day 2 picks brought a flurry of action.

Interestingly, former Ohio State star Mike Vrabel picked up three players from his alma mater. The new Patriots head coach spent his final two selections on guys who could not only make the team's 53-man roster but actually become quality role players. That's terrific value.

The Raiders also added multiple Buckeyes and reunited Will Howard with TreVeyon Henderson. Now that's a backfield Ohio State fans sure wouldn't mind enjoying again in future years.

I don't see any real missed opportunities in this mock. The Buckeyes would need Gee Scott or Josh Fryar to be selected to break Georgia's all-time draft record, and I don't foresee either of them hearing their names called,.
