The SEC has had an exciting start to the 2025 college football season. A year that began with multiple teams from the conference hoping to make the College Football Playoff has turned out as many people hoped it would, thus far.

In the Week 5 rankings, the SEC had 10 teams ranked in the AP Top 25. This included the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs, who met in Athens, Georgia, in what turned out to be a big upset victory for Alabama. This game hosted ESPN's "SEC Nation" in Week 5, and it did not disappoint.

On Sunday, ESPN announced the location for the show in Week 6.

"SEC Nation" announced on its X account that the show will be heading to Gainesville, Florida, for the matchup between the Texas Longhorns and Florida Gators.

Coming into the year, this matchup was one of the most highly anticipated games on the college football schedule. Texas came into the season as the No. 1 team in the country, and quarterback Arch Manning was the Heisman Trophy favorite. Florida also entered 2025 with high expectations, as it was ranked No. 15 in the preseason Top 25 with sophomore quarterback DJ Lagway set to make a big jump in his second year.

However, things have not gone according to plan for either team thus far.

Texas is currently ranked No. 10 with a 3-1 record. Head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns lost their season opener against the Ohio State Buckeyes and have not looked dominant all season. Manning and the rest of the team have struggled, but they will head into Gainesville to begin SEC play.

Florida has been one of the most disappointing teams in the country so far in 2025. Head coach Billy Napier and the Gators are 1-3 after losses to the USF Bulls, LSU Tigers and Miami Hurricanes.

Although it may not hold the same weight as it did at the beginning of the year, this matchup between SEC foes should be an exciting one.
