It hasn’t always been pretty, but Notre Dame football made it a quarter of the way through the 2025 college football season with some late momentum. Their offense is playing at a high level, and Chris Ash’s defense showed some growth during the second half of the Arkansas Razorback game last weekend. The latter will determine whether head coach Marcus Freeman's squad is able to fully dig themselves out of the hole and try to earn a playoff berth down the stretch of the season.
As is typically the case, there are some Notre Dame players who have been flourishing so far in the 2025 season. There are also, however, some players who have been somewhat disappointing. Pro Football Focus is an outlet that provides impressive data collection, but it also puts out some questionable player grades at times. That is the case on this Irish team.
Here are the top graded players for the Notre Dame offensive players. The first three probably won't be as much of a surprise, but the fourth player might surprise some.
1. RB Jeremiyah Love - 84.9
Love being Notre Dame's top-rated offensive player shouldn't be much of a surprise. He is arguably the best running back in all of college football, and he has been a threat both as a runner and receiver so far this season. In four games, Love has rushed for 341 yards and five touchdowns. He has also hauled in 13 receptions for 149 yards and three touchdowns. Love's ability to create big plays in all facets is pretty incredible.
2. RB Jadarian Price - 79.4
For as good as Love has been, Price has also been impressive in his own right. He is not the threat in the passing game as his backfield mate, but Price has been creating some huge chunk plays in the run game. The redshirt junior has rushed for 273 yards and six touchdowns, averaging a stellar 6.8 yards per carry. Price also took his only reception for a 35-yard touchdown last week.
3. QB CJ Carr - 77.8
Most expected Carr to have some growing pains early in the season, but for the most part, it has been pretty consistent. Over the last two games, the 6-3, 210-pound passer has been especially impressive. Carr has thrown for 1,091 yards and nine touchdowns while completing over 68 percent of his passes. If this is just the beginning, Notre Dame fans are going to be extremely happy.
4. WR Micah Gilbert - 75
This rating will probably be pretty surprising to some, but Gilbert has been very good in his limited opportunities. The second-year player has managed to collect four receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown. As Gilbert gets more touches, he should continue to make some nice plays.
5. WR Jordan Faison - 74.2
There may not be a more pleasant surprise this season than Faison, who currently leads the Irish offense with 19 receptions. Faison is also second on the team in receiving yards with 244 yards and two touchdowns. The lacrosse star has had great moments during his first two seasons, but has been hampered by injury at times. His connection with Carr has been fun to watch.
Here are the Notre Dame offensive players who rounded out the top-10 rankings. There are some interesting ratings in this group.
WR Malachi Fields - 72.2
OG Billy Schrauth - 69.4
WR Will Pauling - 68.7
OC Ashton Craig - 65.3
TE Eli Raridon - 63.5
