The Florida Gators have been identified by many over the years as defensive back university, or DBU for short. Sure, the argument isn't as strong as it would have been when Urban Meyer was the head coach, but they have done a really good job of recruiting and developing both safety and cornerback.
They haven't been shy about going after cornerbacks in this class, as they were persistent with four-star commitment C.J. Bronaugh, who committed last week after being committed to Nebraska.
Right now, the Gators are looking hard at multiple cornerbacks, including four-star cornerback C.J. Hester and they are trying to make moves for another four-star cornerback in Michigan Wolverines recruit Brody Jennings.

The Jacksonville, Florida product is On3 Sports' 129th-ranked recruit and 18th-ranked cornerback. He stands at 6'1 and 185 lbs, which is very good size for a cornerback entering his senior year of high school. Jennings has also been committed to Michigan since July 28th of last year, which is a long time.
The Gators aren't the only ones going after Jennings, as Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes are as well.
“Florida and Miami are still coming really hard,” Jennings told On3. “They both want me, they are still talking to me a lot and both are still in it for me. I love Michigan and my commitment is strong, but I am not shutting things down yet.”
What's really interesting here is that Jennings hasn't shut down in his recruitment. It doesn't necessarily mean that his commitment isn't strong to Michigan, but they are opening the door to potentially have a team like Florida or Miami sway his decision.
The one intriguing element that will be crucial to watch is that Jennings is from Florida. Jacksonville is only a few hours away from Gainesville and driving distance to Miami. Does he want to stay home or is the draw of Michigan going to be enough to keep his commitment?
His recruitment will be an interesting one to watch, especially since he took visits to all three schools within the last month.
