Florida Gators' player representatives for SEC Media Day highlight their biggest stars with one major question set to get a deeper answer

The Florida Gators are one of the most interesting teams in the nation and we will get to hear from them next week at SEC Media day. They have announced their three representatives for the event and none of them should be a surprise.

DJ Lagway highlights Florida Gators' SEC media Day

The Gators sending these three players as their representatives makes all the sense in the world. Slaughter was named a Walter Camp Preseason All American and could eventually end up as a top-50 pick in the NFL Draft this upcoming April.

Banks is coming off of his breakout season this past April and decided to forego the NFL Draft, despite many believing he could be a top-50 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. His return to Gainesville is going to prove huge for the Gators, as they look to grow to a College Football Playoff team.

The most intriguing player going to SEC Media Day was always going to be Lagway. It's not just because he's a star player going into the season, it's all about the injury he "suffered" that kept him out of spring practice.

Normally, there wouldn't be quotes surrounding injury, but it's warranted here. Did he actually suffer an injury or was it just one that lingered around from his high school days? The reality is that it could be both, and it might require surgery down the line.

The reality here is this: there is still a layer of mystery with the injury. How bad is it? What exactly is it impacting? How could it hinder him throughout the year? The vibe is that Lagway is going to be just fine this season, dealing with and managing the injury, but after suffering a brutal hamstring injury this year, there is some question about his overall durability. Needless to say, there will be a lot of questions surrounding his shoulder and we should get answers.

July 16th will be a must for all Gators fans to keep an eye on what goes on.
