Is there any team on a bigger hot streak right now than the Florida Gators?
Head coach Billy Napier got hot before signing day and flipped multiple four-star recruits to earn the 11th-best recruiting class per On3 Sports. Then, they flipped five-star wide receiver Dallas Wilson after signing day, getting him to request out of his financial aid documents with the Oregon Ducks and securing his commitment.
Then, quarterback DJ Lagway won Gasparilla Bowl MVP in a 33-8 rout of the Tulane Green Wave right after securing transfer portal commit wide receiver J. Michael Sturdivant.
Christmas might have a different meaning this year than it did last year. In 2023, running back Trevor Etienne committed to Georgia on Christmas Day, souring that of the fans of the Gators, but that could change in 2024.
On3 Sports' Pete Nakos has logged a prediction for the Gators to get transfer portal wide receiver Johntay Cook, formerly with the Texas Longhorns.

Cook is a former five-star recruit from DeSoto, Texas that the Longhorns secured, but he didn't get on the field much in Austin. He played in just 20 games for the Longhorns over his first two seasons, logging just 16 receptions for 273 yards.
During his visit to Gainesville over the weekend, Cook spent time with Lagway and it seems to have made a big impression on him. If the Gators end up getting Cook, they will get to add him with Wilson, Sturdivant and the returning Trey Wilson to form one of the better receiver rooms in all of college football.
Over the last two months, Lagway has led the resurgence of the Gators, and it's evident that his gravity is making a major impact on Napier's football program.
