The Florida Gators and head coach Billy Napier have been very consistent with their recruiting strategy, especially when it comes to the secondary. Defensive backs coach Deron Wilson hit the ground running when it came to the secondary and has been eyeing a lot of really good players, especially in the sunshine state.
Of the cornerback recruits that they have been focusing on, one who has been a major target is four-star CJ Bronaugh out of Winter Garden, Florida. The Gators believe they have a good chance at landing the Nebraska commit, and it got better on Tuesday night when he decommitted from the Huskers.

Bronaugh is a four-star cornerback who is the 106th overall recruit and the 14th-ranked cornerback per the On3 Sports Industry Ranking. Getting him to commit would go a long way for the Gators to fortify the secondary.
According to Gators Online's Corey Bender, Bronaugh made a visit to campus on Tuesday with fellow four-star safety Devin Jackson, who was once a Florida commit. Getting them on campus in between weekend visits allows both Bronaugh and Jackson to build relationships without having multiple other recruits in the building also getting attention from the coaching staff.
That visit seems to have worked, however, as On3 Sports' Steve Wiltfong logged an expert prediction to land Bronaugh.

The Gators only have one commit in the back seven in four-star safety Kaiden Hall, with their other two defensive commits being four-star defensive lineman JaReylan McCoy and three-star defensive tackle Jamir Perez, who could end up flipping to Ohio State.
Bronaugh would provide a good amount of size for the Gators on the outside at 6'1 with more room to add weight onto his 175 lb frame. His commitment would continue a red hot June with 10 players having already committed to the Gators.
