Anything can happen when LSU and Florida meet, including someone throwing a shoe.
The last time the two teams met in The Swamp, Florida's Marco Wilson took a page out of the playbook of an Austin Power's villain or a political dissident and threw Kole Taylor's shoe. He was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct, putting LSU in field goal range. In dense fog and 57-yards away, kicker Cade York won the game for the Tigers, 37-34.

It was a wild sequence in a series that's never short of memorable moments. Tebow's jump pass in 2006, Les Miles' fourth-down gambles in 2007, and LSU's fake field goal in 2010 all helped make LSU-Florida one of the more entertaining and confounding series in the sport.

The past three years have been barnburners, with LSU outscoring Florida by an average of 42.7-34.7. The Tigers are seeking a fourth consecutive victory over the Gators for the first time since 1977-1980. Florida leads the all-time series 33-32-3.
This will be LSU's Brian Kelly and Florida's Billy Napier's formal introduction to the rivalry. No one has been able to break the cycle of madness, and chances are its gravitational pull will be too strong for even the two first-year coaches.
Let's just hope everyone keeps a level head... and their shoes.
