Florida State heavy favorite vs. Jacksonville State

Mike Norvell’s Florida State Seminoles football program came within a whisker of upsetting Brian Kelly’s 9th ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish squad in overtime last Sunday night in Tallahassee before falling 41-38 in overtime, while the Jacksonville State Gamecocks fell 31-0 to the UAB Blazers in Montgomery, Alabama.

Today, Florida State returns to the friendly confines of Doak Campbell Stadium, and the Seminoles are listed as 27 point favorites in Las Vegas, with an over/under of 56.5 total points.

Normally, lines are released early in the week, but I believe oddsmakers waited on this one because it’s an FBS vs. FCS matchup, and the health of FSU’s quarterbacks remains to be seen.

Most of you are probably thinking this is a no-brainer, and on paper, I’d certainly agree, especially after the results of both teams last weekend, but the Noles have struggled with FCS teams in recent years, so we shall see.
