Former Alabama cornerback Trey Amos announced his intentions to enter the 2025 NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon.

In his message on X, Amos said, “I also want to thank all of my coaches at The University of Louisiana and The University  of Alabama. Both schools helped me mature and grow into the man I am today, and I can’t thank y’all enough for that.”

Amos played at Alabama in 2023 after spending his first two seasons at Louisiana. In one season at Alabama, Amos played in 14 games. He recorded 12 tackles and five pass deflections. The Louisiana native was a key reserve for the Crimson Tide and made one start.

Following the conclusion of the 2023 season, he entered the transfer portal and signed with Ole Miss. Amos made 13 starts for the Rebels. He had an impressive senior season recording 50 tackles, 16 pass deflections, and three interceptions.

It definitely makes you wonder what Amos would have added to Alabama’s defense in 2024. Nonetheless, he is sure to be drafted and will be an interesting player to follow over the course of his professional career.
