Former Alabama wide receiver, Mike McCoy feels the Crimson Tide needs to double down on what they did in practice last week to prepare for Louisiana-Monroe.

The Tide defeated the Warhawks 73-0 on Saturday night to pick up their first win of the season.

This win should be a great morale builder for Alabama football. McCoy feels it is critical the Tide capitalize on this win in the right way.

“You show up,” McCoy said. “That’s what you’re expected to do. You’re a high achiever. This is the University of Alabama. They have to double down even harder this week in practice. I mean, this really ain’t nothing to really celebrate. I mean, nobody really got hyped for this game. The energy on the sideline was a little better, but what is it going to look like next week and a week after? What is the practice going to be like? Are they going to double down?… They gotta go harder. I am glad we won. They look good on both sides of the ball, but it’s ULM. No shade to ULM, but this is Alabama. It’s a difference.”

Alabama football will look to execute this week in practice as it prepares for an early kickoff against Wisconsin.
