Former Georgia Bulldogs defensive back Julian Humphrey has found a new home, and it's with an SEC foe.
Humphrey announced on Dec. 1 via Instagram that he would enter the NCAA transfer portal, which meant he would not suit up for Georgia's SEC Championship game the following weekend.
"First and foremost I would like to thank the man above for everything he has done for me, and I will forever be grateful for everything! I also wanted to say thank you to all of the loyal UGA fans along the way. Thank you," Humphrey wrote in the post. "With that being said, after careful consideration, I will be entering my name in the portal with 2 years left of eligibility."
The transfers portal officially opened on Dec. 9 and Humphrey committed to the Texas A&M Aggies on Dec. 15, according to On3.

Ultimately, Humphrey's decision to leave Georgia came after he lost his starting cornerback job to sophomore Daniel Harris.
He finished the 2024 season credited with 10 total tackles (nine solo) and four pass breakups through 10 starts. Humphrey leaves Athens for College Station after logging 21 total tackles and five pass breakups in two seasons. He has two years left of eligibility with the Aggies.
Per On3, SMU, Florida State, Texas, and Oregon were other schools that showed interest in Humphrey as well.
