When recruiting high school players it is key for college coaches to build good relationships with high school coaches at premier programs. The Ohio State Buckeyes have always recruited the state of Florida and a new hire at one of the premier programs there has an Ohio State connection.
IMG Academy is a national powerhouse that lands high-end recruits from all over the country to develop for the next level. Ohio State WR Carnell Tate went to IMG Academy and he is set to be the No. 2 wideout for the Buckeyes in 2025 after a standout year in 2024.
The Buckeyes will continue to recruit from IMG Academy and their new head coach was once with the Buckeyes.
IMG announced on Monday that Greg Studrawa was the new head coach for the National Team. Studrawa was the offensive line coach for the Buckeyes from 2016 through 2021. Studrawa was let go by Ryan Dya after the 2021 season and hasn’t been coaching since then.
We are excited to welcome Greg Studrawa as the new Head Coach of our IMG Academy National Football Team!

Studrawa actually had two stints with the Buckeyes. Early on in his coaching career, Studrawa was a graduate assistant with the Buckeyes in 1997 after spending time at Cincinnati. From there, Studrawa went from Arkansas State to Bowling Green.
In 2007, Studrawa landed his first big-time job as the offensive line coach at LSU and became the offensive coordinator for the Tigers in 2011 and held that role for two seasons. A two-year stint stood between his time at LSU and Ohio State.
At age 60, the Fostoria, Ohio native now has a new gig where he will work with some of the most talented high school prospects in high school. Day and his staff are familiar with Studrawa and as long as that relationship is good, this is a positive for the Buckeyes.
