A former Tennessee Vols quarterback is reportedly in the NCAA transfer portal for a second time.
According to a report from On3, Indiana Hoosiers quarterback Tayven Jackson has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
Jackson is a former four-star recruit who signed with Tennessee during the 2022 recruiting cycle. The Greenwood, IN native spent one season with the Vols before transferring to Indiana.
The Hoosiers were eliminated from the College Football Playoff on Friday via a 27-17 loss to Notre Dame.

Jackson didn't see much action during his one season at Tennessee (he was behind Hendon Hooker and Joe Milton on the depth chart), but he played some important snaps for the Hoosiers in 2024.
The former Vol passed for 124 yards and a touchdown (he also added a rushing touchdown) in a 31-17 win against Washington in late October.
Jackson left Tennessee on good terms. After leaving the Vols, Jackson praised Tennessee's coaching staff for how they prepare quarterbacks both on and off the field.
"Coach (Joey) Halzle and Coach Mitch (Militello) are great quarterback coaches, great offensive geniuses," said Jackson in 2023. "And what I learned from them is really just how to approach the game. Just how to approach the game right and know what to take in and what not to take in and how to be a pro. How to study well. How to, you know, block out the outside noise and just try to really understand and grasp what we're doing. And they taught me that well and I couldn't thank them enough. They're great coaches. I still think that quarterback room and the way they coach their kids is the best in the nation."
Jackson has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
