The Tennessee Vols saw a huge turnover at the wide receiver position after the 2024 season. Seven players, to be precise. Notable among them was Squirrel White. With one year of eligibility remaining, White transferred to Florida State.

The Seminoles had a bit of a mini turnaround over the last month from their dreadful 2-10 2024 season. However, things took a turn for the worse on Friday night in Charlottesville, Virginia for White the #8 Seminoles.

In double overtime and facing 4th and 12 down 46-38, FSU had to get a first down to keep the game alive. But unfortunately for the Noles, a desperation heave from QB Tommy Castellanos to White was intercepted, and White - laying on the ground - was lost in the swarm of Virginia fans flooding onto the field.

Naturally, given how many people were stampeding onto the field with the players right there the second the ball was intercepted, concern was raised among some on social media about White's status at that particular moment.

Fortunately, after the game, Florida State head coach Mike Norvell said that everyone made it off the field ok to his knowledge, so White didn't end up getting dangerously trampled despite looking like he was in a very vulnerable position on the ground.

In four games this season, White has 4 catches for 52 yards for FSU, including 2 catches for 5 yards against the Cavaliers.
