USC is leaning into the NIL era in putting together its 2026 class. The Trojans have coaches presenting flashy deals to coax top recruits into choosing USC over other powerhouses.
One uncommitted four-star is intrigued by his new NIL offer the Trojans extended to him. A USC insider dropped that new revelation on Saturday.
Scott Schrader of On3 rolled out the list of top "must-get" recruits left for the USC '26 recruiting class. He threw in wide receiver Jalen Lott out of Frisco, Texas as a talented prospect still on the USC radar. USC tied in its own NIL package in trying to persuade Lott.
"We haven’t had an in-depth conversation with Lott, but based off what we’re told by sources we trust know, USC offers the NIL package he’s happy with," Schrader said.
It's not known what is included in the deal USC offered to Lott. Including the dollar figures.
If Lott commits, he rises as "the headliner of the wide receiver class for USC" per Schrader. There's two more elements that can win over the speedy and explosive wideout -- including a family tie-in.
"Lincoln Riley’s offense always receivers putting up crazy numbers, and his sister is already a Trojan," Schrader said.
His sister is track and field athlete Falyn Lott. The younger Lott visited USC with his family during the weekend of June 6-8. He roamed the campus and checked out USC's football facilities with four-star quarterback commit Jonas Williams, per Schrader.
The Trojans aren't the only school left in the running for Lott.
"As of now, it’s appears to be a battle among USC, Texas and Oregon," Schrader said. "The On3 RPM favors Texas heavily, fueled by a prediction submitted for the Longhorns earlier this year. Oregon also has a prediction submitted for them by Justin Hopkins of ScoopDuck."
But USC has to decide between Lott and one other prized Lonestar State WR who's still uncommitted.
"Based off what sources tell us, USC expects to fill its 2026 wide receiver class with either Lott or Boobie Feaster," Schrader said.
USC sits at 30 total verbal commits. Four-star edge rusher Luke Wafle is the more recent pledge. He comes to Los Angeles as the state of New Jersey's top prospect.
Schrader, though, says Riley and the Trojans still want one more WR to help top off this class. All the more reason why Lott is still one to watch. It's already a positive sign for USC that Lott likes his NIL deal. Now it's a matter of if he accepts.
