Redshirt freshman safety Josiah Jackson will be entering the transfer portal, he announced on social media Monday afternoon.
“Although it was a difficult decision, I would like to announce that I will be entering my name into the transfer portal with three years of eligibility,” he wrote.

Jackson, from Fairfield High School in Cincinnati, Oh., saw little playing time in two seasons with the Mountaineers. He appeared in one game while he redshirted in 2023, picking up one tackle against Duquesne, and did not play in a game this season.
Josiah Jackson’s twin brother, Jordan Jackson, is a cornerback for the Mountaineers.
For a related story, WVU OL Bryce Biggs will enter the transfer portal.
