The No. 9 Georgia Bulldogs are gearing up for a massive SEC game with the No. 5 Ole Miss Rebels in Week 8.

Georgia defeated Auburn, 20-10, on the road in Week 7.

Ole Miss enters the game with an undefeated 6-0 record and is coming off a close 24-21 win at home against Washington State.

Lane Kiffin's team is riding high, but Georgia playing this game in Athens, with ESPN's "College GameDay" in town, makes this a must-watch showdown on Saturday.

On Wednesday, the official SEC injury report came out, and there were some prominent names on the report.

Redshirt-sophomore safety Kyron Jones was listed as out.

The university also released a statement on Jones' ruling.

“Georgia redshirt sophomore safety Kyron Jones has been diagnosed with a foot injury that will keep him out indefinitely. Under the guidance of UGA’s medical staff, he will consult with some of the nation’s leading specialists to determine the best course of treatment.”

Jordan D. Hill of 247Sports reported that Jones plans to consult with specialists to figure out the best option.

Jones has started every game this season for Georgia, so this is a costly blow to Kirby Smart's team, especially against a talented team such as Ole Miss.

Jones has 24 tackles on the season and is in his third year with the program.

JaCorey Thomas and Adrian Maddox, who are seniors, are likely options to replace Jones for the time being.

Georgia faces Florida, Mississippi State and then Texas after Week 8, so Jones' status will be one to monitor going forward.
