The Georgia recruiting juggernaut refuses to slow down. Under Kirby Smart, the Bulldogs are not just building a top five class. They’re quite possibly assembling the nation’s most feared offensive line haul in the 2026 recruiting cycle. And this week, they're at it once again.
Ekene Ogboko, the towering 6'6", 300+ pound offensive tackle from North Carolina, has officially committed to Georgia–just as we predicted he would last week. This is a huge win for Kirby Smart and company seeing as Ogboko isn't just any recruit. Ogboko dominated on both sides of the line in high school, posting over 60 tackles and six sacks on defense last season. However, with his monstrous frame and athleticism, it's been clear for quite a while that his best fit at the next level is likely offensive tackle.
Ogboko announced his commitment to On3 Sports (as you can see in the post below) by saying, "All glory to God, I'm home. The Ogbokos are in Athens. Go Dawgs!"

The 6’7 295 OT from Durham, NC chose the Bulldogs over Florida, Clemson, & Notre Dame

Ogboko had been leaning towards Georgia for a while it seems. Even though he visited some other powerhouse programs, the Bulldogs were the easy selection–likely for multiple reasons.
His brother Nnamdi is already a Georgia Bulldog, playing his ball on the defensive line. Kirby Smart's Bulldogs just sent four of their starting offensive linemen from last year onto the NFL: Tate Ratledge (Lions), Dylan Fairchild (Bengals, Jared Wilson (Patriots), and Xavier Truss (Broncos). And given the likely early opportunity to play for the Bulldogs with those talents all gone, this was likely a fairly easy decision for Ogboko.
Ogboko joins Graham Houston (IOL), Zykie Helton (IOL), and Zachary Lewis (IOL), as the fourth major offensive line recruit to commit to the Georgia Bulldogs in the 2026 recruiting class. Kirby Smart already has 16 freshman and one elite JUCO star committed for next spring, putting the Bulldogs on pace to finish with yet another top three class in the country.
